About Dr. Ronald Kosinski

I am a pediatric dentist and dental anesthesiologist. I am currently the Director of the Oral Health Center for People with Disabilities and the Director of Sedation and Anesthesia for the NYU College of Dentistry. I am the former president of the American Dental Society of Anesthesiology and trustee for the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry. I HAVE DEDICATED MY LIFE TO THE SAFE PRACTICE OF ANESTHESIA IN DENTISTRY.

Practicing Safe and Effective Sedation for the Pediatric Patient
A very thorough look at the practice of sedation for the pediatric patient encompassing a number of parameters.
We will look at:
- Patient Selection Criteria
- Drugs and Drug Regimens
- Alternatives for Sedation
- Morbidity and Mortality
- Sedation Emergencies
- The Art Of Simulation
At the end of this presentation the student will learn how to properly select a patient and sedate them is a safe manner, which will ensure safe discharge. At the learning experience we will also teach what can be done in the event a patient cannot be sedated. The student will have a thorough knowledge base in the art of simulation.
